Echeveria – Week 3

eche_week.jpg

So these little buggers popped up, but haven’t done a lot since then. At least it seems that way, until I remind myself how the seeds were basically little specs of dust, so I guess this is a pretty remarkable change in three weeks.  I am hoping these are just slow growers and it’s not indicative of the habitat I’ve provided.  In these pictures you can see the yellow/orange of where I have been beating back the algae that hitched a ride into my pots on the beach sand I mixed the microscopic seeds with.  On the upside, a few of them do seem to be growing a second set of leaves after the first cotyledons.
